inverter’s ACinput.Usuallymountedinmainswitchboardand/ornexttothe
inverter. Theactiveandneutralofthe ACoutputareelectricallyisolatedfrom
theDCinputsandearthconnections.
LatronicsInvertershavethe ACoutput(activeandneutral)floatingwith
respecttotheDCandEarth. Thisconfigurationprovidesthehighestdegree
ofsafetyandflexibilityforinstallationwiring. Theearth isconnected
internallytotheInvertercaseandissuitablefor wiring.

Toinstallconnectorsreadthefollowingprocedure.
1. Turnexternal ACCircuitBreakerswitchintoOFFpositionandmake
sureitcannotbeswitchedbackon.
2. Testthewiringwithavoltmetertomakesurenovoltageispresent.
3. Peelback30mmofcablejacketandcut ActiveandNeutralcables
5mmshorterthanEarth.
4. Strip5mmoffallthreecables.
5. TaketheWielandGesisconnector,disassembleintothreemainsections
andinsertstrippedwirethroughasshownbelow.

RADIOFREQUENCY INTERFERENCE
RadioFrequencyInterference(RFI)isaphenomenonthatexistsinmodern
societyandisaprobleminmanyareasofelectronics.ForInverterusers,
RFInormallypresentsitselfintheformofstaticand/orinterferencewhen
listeningtoan AMradioandinunusualcasesmayinterferewith TVreception.
OvertheyearsLatronicshascontinuedtoinvestsignificanttimeandeffortin
thereductionofRFIrelatedemissionsfromtheentireproductrange,sothat
theycomplywiththeappropriateInternationaland/or AustralianStandards.
Evenwiththiscompliance,therearesituationswhereRFImaystillbeacause
forconcern,andcandiffergreatlyfrominstallationtoinstallation. Accordingly,
thefollowingisalistofrecommendationsmadetoassistintheoverall
reductionofRFI.
1. AvoidrunningDCand ACcablesinthe
sameconduitsand/orcabletrenches.Itisstronglyrecommendedthat
DCand ACwiringbeseparatedbythegreatestdistancepossible.In
extreme cases,theuseofshieldedconduitmaybenecessary.
2. .DCcablescanactasanaerial,
thereforeallsuchcablesshouldbekeptasshortasispracticable.For
bestperformanceminimizeDCcablelengthtoInverterandBatteriesand
ifpossibleavoidtheuseofauxiliaryDCloads.
3. .Forhouseholdinstallations,itisrecommendedthata
“good”EarthStakeislocatedasnearbytheInverterasispossible.
4. Thesetypesofradioequipmentinherentlysuffer
fromallformsofRFI,especiallywhenthereceivedsignallevelisweak.
Insuchcasesreceptioncansometimesbeimprovedbyrelocationofthe
radioitself,alternativelytheuseofanappropriateexternalantenna and
co-axialcable maybenecessary.Externalantennasshouldbelocated
inamannerthatensuresmaximumsignalstrengthwhilstaffordingthe
greatestpossibledistanceawayfromtheInverterandBatteries.
5. TVsignalsaretransmittedasFMwaveforms. Thistypeof
signalfundamentallyreducestheeffectsofRFI,thereforetheuseofa
goodantennaandfeedercableisnormallysufficienttoensurequality
reception.LocatingthetelevisionasfaraspossiblefromtheInvertermay
alsoimprovepictureclarity.
