Cleaning.
After opening the lamp house you can easily
withdraw the lamp chimney with the reflector
and the aspheric condenser, as well as the
holder of the movable condenser and heat
filter. For cleaning, especially of the pro-
jection lens, use only a soft, clean sable
brush (not an antistatic cloth). To clean the
projection lens simply unscrew it from the
front. All exposed lens surfaces, in other
words the condensers and projection lenses,
are coated with an antireflection layer. This
appreciably increases the brilliance and con-
trast of the projected image. Although the
LEITZ hard coating is highly resistant and
stands up to normal cleaning, the glass sur-
faces - as any high-quality optical glass -
are still sensitive to finger marks and other
dirt.
So avoid touching any
glass
and mirror
surface with your
fingers. Remove any major
contamination immediately with a soft, fluff-
less cloth which should, of course, be abso-
lutely clean.
