Projection Lamps.
The pradovit-f takes projection lamps of 300
and 500 watt with prefocus G 17 q pin type
cap. In connectian with the 500 watt lamp a
2nd heat absorbing filter as well as the guide
disk for the lamp housing code number
37915 C is essential.
The 2nd heat absorbing filter is fitted in the
upper longitudinal cutouts of the condensor-
mount and tightened down with the milled
screws.
The guide disk is fitted into the lamp housing
immediately in front of the reflector. This
guide disk regulates the ventilation of the
lamp and has no influence, whatsoever, on
the light intensity.
Projection lamps are available rated at 10 volt
intervals above and below the normal supply
voltage. If your AC supply carries an over-
voltage, then you should choose, for instance,
a 230 volt lamp in place of the 220-volt one, or
in extreme cases even a lamp for 240 volts.
Before fitting a new lamp, check that the
voltage marked on it corresponds to the ac-
tual mains voltage. For instance, a 11O-volt
lamp must not be connected to a 125-volt -
worse still - a 220 volt supply, otherwise it
will burn out immediately. Projection lamps
are also very sensitive to knocks or appreci-
able tilting during burning. The manufactur-
ers can easily establish whether premature
lamp failure is due to any of these causes;
claims for replacement are therefore useless
in such cases.
