4.3 Cam track adjustment
Rising and descending of the tines that are fitted on the tine arms is
ensured by the cam track. By adjusting this system, rise and descent
moments can be changed.
Correct adjustment depends upon crop/terrain conditions and
forward speed. The cam track can be changed by placing the
adjustment strip (fig. 9) in one of the holes.
5 OPERATING THE HIBISCUS
®
• Make sure that nobody is near the machine at the moment
the PTO is engaged.
• Do not allow anyone to come within a 25 m radius from the
machine during work.
• Stop the tractor engine before leaving the tractor cab.
• The safety guards and the swath curtain are essential
protective components of the machine. So: operate the rake
only with these components duly fitted.
5.1 General directions
For making turns on headlands, the machine can be lifted by means
of the tractor’s hydraulic lift.
- Raise the machine.
- Engage the PTO at the lowest possible engine r.p.m..
- Increase the motor speed.
- Drive forward.
Never drive the machine through the crop while the rotor is on the
ground without rotating. This may cause damage to the tines and
tine arms.
- Lower the machine into the crop.
The machine can be used for making swaths (fig. 10) and for moving
windrows across (fig. 11).
