C.3 Trouble shouting
Problem Possible causes
Machine does not unfold Valve on ram is closed
- Open valve on ram
Machine does not unfold completely Adjustment of minimum system pressure too high
- Decrease pressure adjustment; see supplement C.2.
Machine hits the ground too abruptly when
lowered into work
- Decrease the descending speed - see § 4.4
Machine damages the turf by digging stripes Ground pressure is too high
- Decrease pressure adjustment - see § 4.3
Machine hovers over the turf Ground pressure is too low
- Increase pressure adjustment - see § 4.3
Hydraulics do not react properly There is air in the system, e.g. after work has been done to the
hydraulic system
- Reset system by folding the machine in and out completely- see
chapter 3
When folding the machine from the headland
position, the mower conditioner descends first
Mower conditioner descends first due to pressure fluctuations.
- Carry on with the procedure (see chapter 3); the system pressure
will increase further, after which the machine will fold normally.
Machine fails to fold up Valve on ram is closed
- Open valve on ram
When dismounting the machine, you do not
manage to uncouple the lever arms
Hydraulic system is still pressurised
- Remove the pressure - see chapter 6
You cannot depressurise the system, or you only
succeed after much effor
- Set tractor valves in the floating position
- Adjust the descending speed higher if the pressure will not drop,
or only slowly - see § 4.4
