1.CopytheHBAcarddriverfromtheThinkServerEasyStartupDVDtoyourlocaldrive.Double-clickthe
EXEletounzipittoafolder.CopythefoldertoyourUSBstoragedeviceandconnecttheUSB
storagedevicetoyourserver.
2.LogintotheoperatingsystemandcopythefolderfromyourUSBstoragedevicetothe/tmpdirectory
onyourserver.
3.Inputthefollowingcommandstoinstallthedriver.
cd/tmp
cd/elx_suse11v82210
./elx_lpfc_install.sh
Note:Theelx_suse11v82210representsthenameofthedriverpackageleandtheelx_lpfc_install.sh
representsthenameofthedriver.Usethecorrespondinglenamesonyourserver.
4.Restartyourserver.
InstallingthedriverforaCNAcard
ThistopicprovidesinstructionsonhowtoinstallthedriverforaCNAcard.
ToinstallthedriverforaCNAcard,dothefollowing:
1.CopytheCNAcarddriverfromtheThinkServerEasyStartupDVDtoyourlocaldrive.Unzipthedriver
letoafolder.CopythefoldertoyourUSBstoragedeviceandconnecttheUSBstoragedeviceto
yourserver.
2.LogintotheoperatingsystemandcopythefolderfromyourUSBstoragedevicetothe/tmpdirectory
onyourserver.
3.Usethefollowingcommandstoinstallthedriver.
•ForFibreChanneloverEthernet(FCoE)andiSCSIoverEthernet(ISOE)protocols:
cd/tmp
cd/qla2xxx_8242
./extras/build.sh
Note:Theqla2xxx_8242representsthenameofthedriverpackageleandthebuild.shrepresents
thenameofthedriver.Thesenamesmightbedifferentonyourserver.Usethecorresponding
lenamesonyourserver.
•ForNICprotocol:

./qlcnic-src-install.sh–b
./qlcnic-src-install.sh-i
