2.2.9 REMOVING OR INSTALLING A PCIE CARD
Do not proceed before reading and understanding the "Safety Precautions" section of this chapter and "Read Me First".
To remove a PCIe card on riser module, do the following:
1. Turn off all attached devices and the server.
2. Disconnect the AC power cord from the electrical outlet.
3. Remove the server cover. (See "Removing and reinstalling the server cover").
4. Remove the Riser assembly. (See " Replacing the Riser 1, 2).
5. Push down the latch (Step1) and turn the plastic lock (Step 2) on the PCIe cage module
6. Pull the PCIe card outwards to remove it. (Step 3)
Removing PCIe card
To remove a half high half length PCIe card, do the following:
1.Turn off all attached devices and the server.
2.Disconnect the AC power cord from the electrical outlet.
3.Remove the server cover. (See "Removing and reinstalling the server cover").
4.Rotate the plastic locker to unlock PCIe card (Step 1)
5.Lift up the PCIe card outwards to remove it (Step 2)
To remove a PCIe cage, do the following:
