This document is a user manual for the Levoit Smart True HEPA Air Purifier, Model: Core 300S Series. It provides comprehensive information on the device's function, technical specifications, usage, and maintenance.

Function Description

The Levoit Core 300S Series is a smart true HEPA air purifier designed to clean indoor air. It utilizes a 3-stage filtration system to remove various airborne particles and odors. The device can be controlled manually via its interface or through the VeSync app, which also enables smart functions like connecting with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant™. The air purifier features an AirSight Plus™ Laser Dust Sensor that allows it to operate in Auto Mode, adjusting fan speed based on real-time air quality.

Usage Features

  • On/Off Button: Powers the unit on/off. Press and hold to configure for VeSync app.
  • Fan Speed Button: Cycles through three fan speeds: I (low), II (medium), and III (high). Tapping this button while in Sleep Mode or Auto Mode exits that mode.
  • Sleep Mode Button: Activates Sleep Mode for quiet operation. The display turns off after 3 seconds in this mode. Press and hold for 3 seconds to reset the Check Filter Indicator.
  • Timer Button: Sets a timer for 1-12 hours in 1-hour increments. The air purifier turns off automatically when the timer finishes. Holding for 2 seconds cycles through options faster. The VeSync app allows for a 1-24 hour timer.
  • Auto Mode Button: Turns on Auto Mode, which uses the AirSight Plus™ Laser Dust Sensor to automatically adjust fan speed based on air quality.
  • Display Off Button: Turns off all display lights (except the Check Filter Indicator). Tapping any button (except On/Off or Display Off) temporarily turns the display back on.
  • Display Lock Button: Prevents accidental changes to settings when activated. It blinks if other buttons are tapped while locked. Can be used in Standby Mode.
  • Air Quality Indicator Rings: Change color (Blue, Green, Orange, Red) to indicate air quality (Very Good, Good, Moderate, Bad, respectively).
  • Memory Function: Remembers previous fan speed, Sleep Mode, Auto Mode, Display Lock, and Display Off settings when plugged in and turned off. If unplugged, it only remembers fan speed, Sleep Mode, and Auto Mode.

Maintenance Features

  • Cleaning the Smart Air Purifier:
    • Unplug before cleaning.
    • Wipe the exterior with a soft, dry cloth; a damp cloth can be used for housing, then immediately dry.
    • Vacuum the inside of the air purifier.
    • Do not use abrasive chemicals or flammable cleaning agents.
  • Cleaning the Filter:
    • The outer pre-filter should be cleaned every 2-4 weeks using a soft brush or vacuum hose to remove hair, dust, and large particles.
    • The True HEPA & Activated Carbon Filter should not be cleaned with water or other liquids.
  • Filter Replacement:
    • The filter should be replaced every 6-8 months, or sooner depending on usage and pollution levels.
    • Check Filter Indicator: Lights up when the filter should be checked. A notification is also sent via the VeSync app.
    • Replacement Process: Unplug, flip over, remove filter cover, remove old filter, vacuum inside, unwrap new filter, place in housing, replace cover, plug in.
    • Resetting the Check Filter Indicator:
      • If the indicator lights up red: Replace the filter, turn on the air purifier, then press and hold the Sleep Mode button for 3 seconds until the indicator turns off.
      • If the filter was changed before the indicator lit up: Press and hold the Sleep Mode button for 3 seconds until the indicator flashes 3 times and then turns off.
  • Cleaning the AirSight Plus Laser Dust Sensor:
    • Clean every 3 months, or more often in dusty environments.
    • Unplug the air purifier.
    • Place a vacuum cleaner end over the sensor openings and turn on for at least 10 seconds to remove dust.
  • Storage: If not in use for an extended period, wrap the air purifier and filter in plastic packaging and store in a dry place to prevent moisture damage.
