6. CT26-15 MAINTENANCE
6.1 Maintenance
In order to preserve your bike, maintain it regularly:
- Change the brake pads when they are damaged.
- Clean regularly your bike with water and soap.
- Neither use detergent or gasoline nor high pressure squirt.
- Clean and grease the bearing every 6 months.
6.2 Lubrication
Lubricate lightly and regularly (once a month):
- Chain
- brake cables
- The axes of the brake systems
6.3 Maintenance
Like any mechanical component, a bicycle is subjected to high stresses and wears. The various
materials and components can react differently to wear or fatigue.
If the life of a component is exceeded, it may break at once, so that may cause injury to the rider. Cracks,
scratches and discoloration in areas subjected to high stresses indicate that the component has exceeded its
useful life and should be replaced.
