Function Description

The LG dishwasher is designed for household use to clean dishes, cutlery, and other kitchenware. It features various wash cycles and options to accommodate different soiling levels and types of items. Key functions include:

Multiple Wash Cycles: Quick & Dry, Quick, Eco, Auto, Care, and Dual Spray, each optimized for specific washing needs.
Special Functions: Extra Hot (up to 80°C), Rinse+ (additional rinse cycle), Child Lock, Spray (Medium, Soft, Strong water jet intensity), Half Load (upper or lower rack only), Delay Start (1-19 hours), and UV sterilization (for D1443** and KD-824NW/NT models).
Water Softener: Automatically softens hard water by adding special salt to prevent water stains and improve rinsing results.
Rinse Aid Dispenser: Automatically dispenses rinse aid during the final rinse cycle for spot-free drying.

Loading Flexibility:
- Cutlery Basket: Designed for forks and spoons with handles downwards. Can be split into two for increased versatility. Accommodates cutlery up to 18cm long.
- Lower Rack: Suitable for dinner plates, soup bowls, dishes, pots, pans, lids, and grill trays. Features foldable tines to accommodate larger dishes and pots.
- Upper Rack: Ideal for delicate items like small plates, long cutlery, cups, glasses, and dishwasher-safe plastic items. Includes a knife rack (on some models) and foldable cup racks.
Adjustable Upper Rack: The height of the upper rack can be adjusted to create space for long-stem glasses or tall crockery.

Salt and Rinse Aid Refilling: Indicators on the control panel (and a window on the rinse aid dispenser) alert users when salt or rinse aid levels are low.
Drying: The dishwasher can be partially opened after the cycle to assist drying, and the display will show "Cd" (cool dry) for 60 minutes. The Extra Hot option can be selected for better drying results.
Beep On/Off Function: Allows users to enable or disable audible alerts.
Auto Restart: In case of a power failure, the dishwasher will restart from its previous position when the Power button is pressed again.

Maintenance Features

Filter Cleaning: The mesh filter, upper STS filter, and outer filter should be removed and cleaned regularly (at least once a week) to ensure optimal washing results.
Spray Arm Cleaning: The water jet holes on both upper and lower spray arms should be checked and cleaned if blocked. The arms can be removed for thorough cleaning.
Water Inlet Filter: A filter in the water inlet hose connection should be checked and cleaned if insufficient water flows into the dishwasher.
