Lastly, disassemble the receiver and bottom base of the pump to remove any foreign material jamming the impeller, then reassemble.

Remove the tank cover and check that the float is free to move; if buildup restricts it, clean and reinstall. If the switch is defective, replace it. Also, try using a valve on the inlet to reduce the rate of inflow if it exceeds the pump output.
