Contraindications Heart Rate/ECG Use
Due to the possible seriousness of the abnormal heart rhythms that can be associated with the following
conditions, persons with these conditions should consult their physician before using this device:
Coronary heart disease
Valvular heart disease
Heart transplant
Heart failure
The LifeWatch V device should not be used to monitor chest pain and it cannot predict or diagnose a
heart attack (myocardial infarction).
Do not operate the LifeWatch V in combination with the following medical electronic devices as this may
cause a malfunction of this device:
Electronic life support systems such as an artificial heart/lung.
Contraindications Glucose Model use:
The Blood Glucose function is not intended for the diagnosis of, or screening for, diabetes
The Blood Glucose function should not be used by users whose vision is impaired to the extent that their
sight does not enable them to operate the device, nor by neonates or infants less than one year.
