Connecting to a Wi-Fi Network
1. Tap Home > > Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings.
The Wi-Fi access points, or “hotspots”, that your device has detected are displayed with their names
and security settings.
2. Tap an access point to form a connection.
If security features are implemented, you’ll need to enter a password.
Checking the Wi-Fi Network Status
You can check the Wi-Fi network by looking at the icon in the status bar.
Or tap the access point that the device is currently connected to in Wi-Fi settings. You can then check the
network status from the pop-up window.
Using the Device as a Wi-Fi Hotspot
You can use the device as a portable WLAN router, providing Wi-Fi connection for one or multiple PCs or
other devices. The function needs a data connection to a mobile network and may result in data charges.
TIPS:
The PC accesses the Internet via the device’s mobile network. Make sure to set up the
GPRS/EDGE/3G connection correctly before you try to use the device as a Wi-Fi hotspot.
