NOTE
As a replacement chain use only an original load chain supplied by the manufacturer
of the hoist.
When replacing the load chain, the chain guide and the chain hold-down must also be
replaced.
10.5 Measuring the wear of the load hook and replacing the load hook
NOTE
According to Part 1 of the DIN 15405 standards the load hook must be replaced if its
opening has expanded by more than 10% or if the height of the hook bottom has
decreased by more than 5%.
The base dimensions of the hook are contained in the hook certificate located in the
crane inspection log.
There may be no sharp dents or cracks on the hook bottom.
