7.3.1 After the first 5 Operating hours
 Check valve clearance, replace cylinder head cover gasket as necessary.
7.3.2 After the first 25 Operating hours
 Work as specified in Chapter 7.3.4
7.3.3 Every 25 Operating hours
 Grease magneto couplings. Applicable to all engines except L 2000 EA, DA.
7.3.4 Every 50 Operating hours
 Check fuel and lubrication system.
 Clean engine.
 Check crankcase ventilation.
 Clean induction air filter or replace, if necessary.
 Change engine oil, clean oil screen.
 Check valve clearance, replace cylinder head cover gasket as necessary.
 Check compression.
 Clean and check spark plugs (see section 8.14).
 Check drive belt tension.
 Check and grease throttle pushrods and bowden cables.
 Check oil level of Stromberg-Zenith carburetors..
 Grease magneto couplings (except L 2000 EA, DA).
 Check harness.
 Check bolts, nuts, safety pins, and engine mounting frame for tight fit and proper condition.
 Perform engine test run. (see section 8.20).
