Product Overview
Your Linksys RE9000 is a tri-band range extender with band steering. That means it will direct
connected devices to the extended Wi-Fi band that will provide the best performance. The range
extender will balance connected devices between one 5 GHz band and the 2.4 GHz band. (The
second 5 GHz band is dedicated to the connection with your main router.) Band steering is
available on all three bands when you set up your RE9000 as an access point.
