Manually setting up the Linksys RE9000
In situations where you want to bypass the Linksys RE9000 MU-MIMO Range Extender’s setup
wizard, you can follow the steps below to manually configure the range extender.
NOTE: This article assumes that your Linksys RE9000 is on factory defaults. To reset the Linksys
RE9000, press the Reset button for 5 seconds.
Step 1:
Turn ON the Linksys RE9000 and wait for the light indicator to blink orange.
Step 2:
Using a wireless device, locate and connect to the Linksys Extender Setup Wi-Fi.
Step 3:
Once connected, open a browser and go to http://extender.linksys.com to launch setup.
NOTE: If the Linksys RE9000 has not detected a DHCP server, it defaults to its IP address,
192.168.1.1.
Step 4:
Click the Manual Setup link at the bottom.
