Network Filters Overview
In addition to providing storage for your data, the NSS provides a configurable firewall to protect
that data. Defining network filters lets you specify which network hosts have access to the NSS via the
various supported protocols.
To view the network filters:
1. From the Manager Menu, click Access Network.
The Network Filters page appears.
2. You can do any of the following:
Set the default network policy (see Defining the Default Network Policy) to control what
happens to traffic not explicitly covered by defined filters.
View or delete the existing filters (see Network Filters Overview) defined for the NSS from the
Active Network Access Filters table.
Create a new filter (see Creating a Network Filter) based on an IP or MAC address or a
range of IP addresses.
