Connecting your accessory to a 153IR Controller
T
he 153IR Controller (available separately, 6-14111) is an alternative to the 153C
Contactor. While the 153C Contactor relies on the weight of the train to activate the
accessory, the 153IR Controller is triggered by an infrared motion sensor. The 153IR also
allows you to set the length of time that the accessory remains on. Consult the 153IR
Controller’s owner’s manual for more information. Refer to Figure 6 below.

Wiring and operating your accessory using the alternate switch
connection
P
ower up your accessory, and the interior lights will illuminate. Slide the switch to the ON
position, and the gateman will emerge from this shed. Turn the switch to the OFF position
and the gateman goes back inside. See Figure 5 below.
