5.4.1.2 Lay-up
A lay-up is implemented to protect the supply battery against
deep discharge.
Preparing for lay-up:
1. Switch off the 12 V main switch on the operating and control
panel
2. Set the battery isolating switch to the "Battery Off” position.
All 12 V consumers are disconnected from the living space
battery.
The operating and control panel is likewise switched off.
The battery alarm is no longer active. However, the living space
battery can still be charged via the internal charging module
provided there is an external 230 V connection.
Ending a temporary lay-up:
1. Set the battery isolating switch to the "Battery On” position.
2. Switch the 12 V main switch on the operating and control
panel back on
All 12 V consumers are ready for operation again.
The operating and control panel can be used again.
The battery alarm is active again.
NOTE
Fully charge the living space battery prior to lay-up!
CAUTION
Fire danger due to heat accumulation!
The supply battery and the Elektroblock become hot
during operation which can result in smouldering or
fire if the heat dissipation is inadequate.
• Never cover the supply battery or the Elektroblock.
• Do not misuse the storage space of the supply
battery and the Elektroblock as a storage space
for other objects.
