5 - Calibration
Page 12
5.4Calibration Example
Calibrating a skid steer loader with a capacity of 3000 lbs.
1. Set the inital calibration number to 1.500.
2. A bucket load is weighed and the Weighlog reading is 2500 lbs. The
known weight of the bucket load is 2100 lbs.
3. Using the correction calculation:
Correct Factor = Existing Factor x True Weight
Weighlog Reading
= 1.50 x 2100 = 1.26
2500
4. Reprogram Weighlog with new cal. number of 1.26.
If the Weighlog reading is more than the true weight, the factor is decreased,
if the Weighlog reading is less than the true weight, the factor is increased.
Therfore if you find a consistant difference between the Weighlog readings
and the scale readings, you can then "Nudge" the cal factor up or down as
needed.
