Overview

The LSI SAS 9206-16e is a PCI Express (PCIe) to 6Gb/s Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) Host Bus Adapter (HBA) designed for high-performance external storage connectivity in servers and workstations. This HBA is based on the Fusion-MPT™ architected LSI SAS 2308 controller, which integrates the latest enhancements in PCIe 3.0 and 6Gb/s SAS technologies. It features onboard Flash memory for firmware and BIOS.

The LSI SAS 9206-16e HBA serves as a crucial link between a host system's PCI Express bus and external SAS/SATA storage devices.
