  If the Lumenis Medical Equipment laser displays an '! or ! Overheating' message, it could be due to several reasons: * The laser may have been used at a high power for an extended period. Wait for the message to clear, press or ready, and continue using the laser, pausing occasionally to allow it to cool. Note: Do not turn off the laser, as leaving it on allows the internal cooling system to cool it down more quickly. * Airflow might be restricted. Ensure the laser is at least 50 centimeters (20 inches) away from walls, furniture, or other equipment. * The room temperature may be too high. Verify that the treatment room temperature is between 10° C and 30° C (50° F and 86° F).
