9.4 UPDATE PROCEDURE
If using a laptop for the update make sure its battery is fully charged or connected to AC
supply. Don’t power off the searchlight system or the computer during update process.
Once the software is installed, preparation can be made for updating firmware in the SL1
system (operator panel and searchlight).
The update computer's RJ45 network socket must be connected to the searchlight's network
so that all connected searchlights and panels can be reached during the update procedure.
1. Connect the extra LAN cable included with delivery to the empty LAN-port on the
operator panel. If several SL1-searchlights and or panels are connected in an
external Ethernetswitch, use a standard patchcabel from the switch to the computer
instead.
2. The cable's RJ45 connector is inserted into the computer’s LAN socket.
