What to do if Lynx Patio Heater pilot igniter sparks, but the pilot burner does not ignite?
    • L
      Lauren LeeAug 14, 2025
If it's a new installation, the system may need time to purge air from the lines. If the igniter sparks for a minute without ignition, it'll enter 'safety lockout'. To reset, press 'OFF' then 'ON' on the wireless wall switch. Repeat this up to 3 times. If it still doesn't light, gas might not be reaching the pilot. Check if the gas line's ON-OFF valve is open (handle parallel to the line means it's on). If issues persist, the gas line needs purging. With the gas on, slightly loosen a connection near the heater until you hear or smell gas, then immediately tighten it. This should remove any remaining air.

Why does my Lynx Patio Heater light, but the pilot and burner cycle on and off during Manual operation?
    • K
      kellybarryAug 17, 2025
This can occur if the outside conditions are too windy for the Lynx Patio Heater to function correctly. Ensure the heater is located away from direct wind. This heater is designed to withstand wind gusts up to 15-20 MPH. In high wind, turn the heater off. If needed, you can adjust the pilot flame to a higher level.

      Lisa NicholsAug 21, 2025
If the remote control for your Lynx Patio Heater shows the air temperature but won't turn on, check the remote control display for a 'Low Battery' icon. If present, replace the batteries in the remote using (4) AAA batteries.

What to do if my Lynx Patio Heater pilot igniter does not spark?

      Alicia MaddenAug 25, 2025
First, press the 'ON' button on the wireless wall switch and check if the LED flashes red. If it does and you hear a spark, the issue might be with the touch screen remote control. Try replacing the batteries in the remote. If the pilot still doesn't spark, replace the batteries inside the heater itself. If you're using an AC power adapter, ensure the cord is properly connected to the heater.

What to do if Lynx Patio Heater remote control shows full display, but will not activate the pilot ignition?
    • C
      christopherwilliamsAug 27, 2025
First, check the remote control for a 'Low Battery' icon and replace the batteries with (4) AAA if needed. If the icon isn't lit, press the 'ON' button on the remote and listen for a faint 'beep' from the heater. If you hear the beep, the electronic system is working. If not, the heater batteries may be low; replace them with (4) AAA batteries. If there's still no beep, the remote/transmitter and receiver communication may need to be initialized.

What to do if Lynx Patio Heater pilot igniter sparks, but the pilot burner does not ignite with the Remote Control function?
    • L
      Lori RomeroAug 31, 2025
When using the thermostat on the remote, the heater's function depends on the air/room temperature (displayed in the upper right corner) and the thermostat 'SET' temperature (displayed in the upper left corner). If the 'SET' temperature is lower than the current air temperature, the heater won't turn on. To fix this, press the UP arrow to set the thermostat temperature higher than the air temperature.

What to do if my Lynx Patio Heater will light, but pilot and burner cycle on and off with the Remote Control function?
    • R
      Richard BaileySep 3, 2025
If the 'SET' temperature on the remote's thermostat is too close to the actual air/room temperature, the Lynx Patio Heater might cycle on and off to maintain that exact temperature. Try setting the 'SET' temperature higher (more than 2 degrees) than the current air/room temperature. Alternatively, use the 'MANUAL ON' mode on the remote to manually set the heat level higher (levels 1-7).

What to do after heavy rain if Lynx Patio Heater fails to light but remote control and receiver appear to be operating normally and the Pilot is NOT sparking?
    • J
      Jay GonzalezSep 7, 2025
If the Lynx Patio Heater has become saturated with water, you can manually light it following the instructions for manual lighting. Alternatively, a remote control function can speed up recovery. This function overrides the flame sensor in the pilot mechanism, allowing the pilot to spark without releasing gas, which helps dry out the pilot. To activate this, put the touch screen remote in MANUAL OFF mode. Press and hold the FLAME ZONE on the touch screen and the UP button simultaneously. The pilot will spark until you release the buttons. The remote will return to MANUAL OFF. Turn the remote to MANUAL ON and see if the pilot sparks on its own. If not, repeat the process until it functions normally.

What to do after heavy rain if Lynx Patio Heater fails to light but remote control and receiver appear to be operating normally and the Pilot is sparking?
    • E
      evanpenningtonSep 10, 2025
If the Lynx Patio Heater is saturated with water after heavy rain, the pilot burner, main burner, or both may be wet. You can manually light the pilot with a long match or lighter after removing the pilot cover. Slightly loosen the inside screw holding the pivot cover, rotate the cover to expose the lighting hole, and turn the remote to 'ON'. Apply a flame directly over the pilot head. If it doesn't light after 15 seconds, turn the power off for 5 minutes and try again. Once the pilot is lit, the main burner should light shortly after. If the burner is also wet, it will burn unevenly until dry, which is normal. If the pilot lights but the burner doesn't, the burner needs time to dry naturally. Consider the heater's installation and placement if this occurs.
