How to fix no spark at the electrode of my Magiglo Custom 16 Indoor Fireplace?

  If no spark appears at the electrode of your Magiglo Indoor Fireplace, it could be due to several reasons. First, the electrode might be cracked or broken, in which case you should replace the pilot assembly. Second, the HT lead might be shorting out on the burner body; identify where the spark is occurring and insulate or re-route the lead. Lastly, the spark generator could be faulty, requiring a valve replacement.

Why does the pilot light go out when I release the control on my Magiglo Custom 16 Indoor Fireplace?

  If the pilot light of your Magiglo Indoor Fireplace lights but goes out when the control is released, it could be due to: * A loose thermocouple connection at the control valve end. Remake the thermocouple ensuring the connection is firm. * A faulty thermocouple. Replace the complete pilot assembly.
