1. Remove dust cover.
2. Remove circlip.
3. Remove plunger with gland seal and plunger spring from body by lightly tapping it on wooden
block.
4. Remove gland seal from plunger.
The bore and the plunger should be checked for
scoring, scuffing uneven wear marks, corrosion and
excessive clearance between plunger & body
Check the condition of dust cover for cut,
deterioration if damaged replace.
The assembly procedure is the reverse of the
dismantling procedure.
While fitting the plunger lubricate it with brake
fluid.
Make sure that the push rod end is firmly located at
the fork.
