13.10.1 NEGATIVE ACKNOWLEDGEMENT TO EMS ECU
EMS ECU, UICU and the transponder key. All the three components authenticate with each
other during every ignition cycle. Either one of it failed to authenticate or absent, will result in
immobilization of vehicle

NORMAL OPERATION
• Ignition ON
• After successful security authentication, vehicle starts
normally
DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS
• This combination is registered when the
acknowledgement received from the EMS ECU to
UICU during authentication is not as expected
DTC REACTIONS
• Immobilizer check lamp: OFF
• Engine check lamp: BLINKS
• Starter will engage, but vehicle will not start
HEALING CONDITION
• Ignition OFF/ON
• Fault not present
• Disturbance in CAN circuit
• Disturbance in power and ground
wire of EMS ECU
