13.20 U1217–00 — IMMO BUS OFF ERROR
13.20.1 BUS OFF
Immobilizer ECU receives messages from other ECU’s through the CAN BUS. IMMO BUS
OFF error arises when immobilizer is unable to receive or transmit messages through the CAN
BUS.

PROBABLE CAUSES OF
FAILURE
NORMAL OPERATION
• Ignition ON
• After successful security authentication, vehicle starts
normally
DTC DETECTING CONDITIONS
• This combination is registered when the UICU is not
getting the signal from EMS ECU as expected during
ignition ON
DTC REACTIONS
• Immobilizer check lamp: OFF
• Engine check lamp: OFF
• Starter will engage and vehicle will start
HEALING CONDITION
• Ignition off\on
• Fault not present
• IP Wiring harness intermittent
connectivity issue
• UICU BUS OFF
