Why won't my Makita Trimmer engine start?

If your Makita Trimmer's engine won't start, several factors could be the cause. First, ensure the I-O switch is set to OPERATION. Check the fuel level and replenish if necessary. A clogged fuel filter can also prevent starting, so clean it. Inspect the fuel tube for breaks and straighten if needed. If the fuel is old, replace it, as deteriorated fuel makes starting difficult (replace every month). Also, make sure the plug cap is securely attached and the spark plug is clean and properly gapped. If there was excessive suction of fuel, set throttle lever from medium speed to high speed, and pull starter handle until engine starts.
