About the Lens
The Macro A 120mm F4 M l ens has a built-in floating system which moves parts of the lens
system back and forth to correspond to the shooting distance. This automatically corrects for
close- focus aberrations and effectively increases edge sharpness at close-focusing distances.
This system increases the overall performance for close-up and general-purpose photography at
all shooting distances.
Because of its unique built-in extension helicoid barrel, the lens can be focused from infinity
(∞) to life-size reproductions (1:1) without any accessories.
The lens barrel design shields the front lens element from extraneous light sufficiently
without requiring a lens hood; however, if desired, you may use the Mamiya screw-in hood
M67-No. 4.
