Optical
signal
transmission
provides
extremely
high-grade
sound
repro-
duction

loop,
which
eliminates
digital
noise.
Connection
method:
This
output
is
used
for
connecting
the
player
to
a
D/A
converter,
digital
sound
processor
or
an
amplifier
with
a
digital
optical
input.
Remove
the
protective
caps
from
the
OPTICAL
output
of
this
unit
and
the
optical
input
of
the
other
component,
and
connect
them
using
an
optical-
fibre
cable.

Do
not
bend
the
optical
fibre
cable
sharply.

When
the
OPTICAL
terminal
is
not
in
use,
make
sure
its
protective
cap
is
attached.

audio
component

D-BUS
remote
control
cable,
you
can
operate
the
components
remotely
as
a
single
system.

connect
the
REMOTE
CONTROL
IN
jack
of
this
unit
to
the
REMOTE
CONTROL
OUT
jack
of
the
component
with
the
remote
sensor.

equipped
with
a
remote
sensor,
connect
the
component
to
the
REMOTE
CONTROL
OUT
jack
of
this
unit.
For
the
D-BUS
cable
connection,
use
a
commercially
available
RCA-type
pin
lead.

Byconnecting
this
CD
player
to
a
Marantz
cassette
deck
(such
as
the
SD-
60),
automatic
recording
from
the
CD
player
to
the
cassette
deck
can
be
carried
out.

When

unit
independently,
set
this
switch
to
INTERNAL.
When
using
this
unit
in
a
system
incorporating
a
Marantz
tuner

timer
equipped

remote

Press
to
engage
the
editing
function,
which
helps
record
a
disc
onto
a
tape
by
playing
the
tracks
according
to
the
tape
length
and
leaving
a
non-
recorded
blank
of
4
seconds
between
every
track.

PROGRAM
button
Press
to
activate
program
play,
so
that
only
the
selected
tracks
from
the
disc
loaded
on
the
disc
tray
will
be
played.
DIMMER
button
Press
to
adjust
the
display
illumination
brightness.
The
illumination
is
at
its
brightest
when
the
power
is
switched
ON.
Each
time
this
button
is
pressed,
the
brightness
dim
until
the
fourth
press,
after
which
the
illumination
returns
to
the
original
brightness.

RECALL
button
Pressing
this
button
displays
the
programmed
track
numbers
and
program
numbers
(steps)
in
sequence.
CANCEL
button
Used
to
delete
specified
track
numbers
from
a
program.
Also
used
when
creating
programs
by
deleting
any
tracks
which
you
do
not
want
to
listen
to
(delete
programming).

STOP

button
Press
to
stop
playback.
This
button
is
also
used
for
deleting
a
program.
PLAY
(>)
button
Press
to
start
playback.
When
pressed
during
playback,
the
CD
player
returns
to
the
beginning
of
the
current
track
and
plays
the
track
again.
The
indicator
lights
up
during
playback.
