3.3 Abseiling with MARK Robin
Use of the rope clamp
In both ways: you can block the device after
stopping by running the rope out of the device
making a U-turn to the eye bolt and back through
the rope clamp as shown.

The first person connects the carabiner of the
short rope end to the correct ring(s) of the har-
ness. Tighten the system by pulling on the other
rope end. Now you are ready for abseiling (lever in
position 1). By using the eye bolts you can reduce
the speed manually.

Attach the rescue device to a proper anchor point.
When the first person is on the ground, the
second person can connect it´s harness to the
rope end closest to the device. Tighten the system
using the other end and start abseiling.
If more persons must be rescued proceed with
step 2.
