WHAT CAN HAPPEN
Not wearing a helmet increases your
chances of a severe head injury or
death in the event of an accident.
Operating without eye protection can
result in an accident and increases
your chances of a severe injury in the
event of an accident.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Always wear an approved motorcycle
helmet that fits properly.
You should also wear:
1. Eye protection
2. A long-sleeved shirt or jacket
3. Gloves
4. Boots
5. Long pants
TURNING YOUR VEHICLE
Whether you are on normal or rough
terrain, it is possible for the vehicle to
roll over or go out of control if you
attempt sharp, high-speed turns. Do not
attempt to turn around or make abrupt
maneuvers on slopes.
Position your hands on the steering
wheel so that your thumbs and fingers
do not wrap around the wheel. This is
particularly important when driving in
rough terrain. The front wheels will
move right and left as they respond to
the terrain, and this movement will be
