ON/OFF SWITCH
The ON/OFF switch is located on the front
of the tool handle. To turn the switch ON,
press the “I” side (1) of the switch (Fig. 1).
To turn the tool OFF, press the “O” (2) side
of the switch.
NOTE: Before turning the switch ON,
make sure the belt is not in contact with
anything and your hands are clear of the
belt.
CHANGING A SANDING BELT
The sanding belt must be changed for the
following reasons:
The belt is badly worn or torn
The belt is filled with sawdust or paint
A different grit is required
WARNING: Always remove the plug
from the power source and make sure the
ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position
before attempting to change the sanding
belt.
1. Pull the belt tension release lever (1)
away from the side of the sanding belt
carrier (2) (Fig. 2).
2. Slide the sanding belt (3) off the rear
roller (4) and the front roller (5).
3. To install a new sanding belt, slide the
new sanding belt over the rear and
front rollers.
NOTES:
a) Make sure the rotation arrow (6) inside
the bottom of the sanding belt is
pointing toward the rear of the tool (7).
b) Make sure the sanding belt is centred
on the rear and front rollers.
