You can download the car-specic setup les to a
MicroSD card on www.audiotec-scher.com.
Please be aware that it is not possible to modify
these setups with the DSP PC-Tool software!
Notice: The DSP PC-Tool software will automati-
cally install the latest rmware on the last selected
memory location if your device is not up-to-date.

Rem In / Out
Rem In: The remote input has to be used to turn
on/off the PP 62DSP if the signal source which is
connected to the highlevel inputs is not activating
the “automatic turn-on” function or if the amplier
shall only be activated/deactivated by a remote sig-
nal applied to the Rem In input. To deactivate the
“automatic turn-on” function read the description on
page 22, “Conguration of the remote input”.
Rem Out: We strongly recommend to use the re-
mote output for turning on/off additional ampli-
ers that are connected to the Line Output of the
PP 62DSP. This is essential to avoid any undesired
pop noises during DSP boot or software update
process. Additionally this output will be turned off
when the “Power Save Mode” (see page 19) of the
amplier is active.

RC Switch Aux / Byp
This switch is for conguring the MODE switch of
an URC remote control while using a car-specic
setup.
Please note: If the URC remote control is not acti-
vated in the DSP PC-Tool or by using the RC Control
switch the RC Switch is without functionality.
This switch is without functionality in combination
with the remote control DIRECTOR.
RC Switch - Aux: If the RC Switch is set to “Aux” po-
sition, the MODE switch on the URC remote control
allows to manually toggle between the radio signal
and the input signal of an optionally installed MEC
module.
Attention: This function is only usable if a MEC
module is installed.
RC Switch - Bypass: If the RC Switch is set to “Byp”
position the function of the MODE switch on the
URC remote control will change. In this case it is
possible to switch between the original sound sys-
tem without any DSP processing and the optimized
MATCH sound setup.

Control Input
This multi-functional connector is designed for
MATCH accessory products like a remote control
which allows to adjust several features of the am-
plier. Depending on the type of remote control, the
functionality at rst has to be dened in the “Device
Conguration Menu” of the DSP PC-Tool software
or on the remote control itself.
Note that it is necessary to activate a connected
remote control either by setting the RC Control
switch to “On” position or by the appropriate com-
mand in the “Device Conguration Menu” of the
DSP PC-Tool software.
Attention: It is not possible to use car-specic
sound setups in combination with the remote con-
trol DIRECTOR.
Please note: If you activate the remote control in
the DSP PC-Tool software the RC Control switch
will automatically be deactivated. To reactivate
the switch you have to cancel this option in the
DSP PC-Tool software.
Please note: As long as an URC remote control
and car-specic setups are used, the functions of
the remote control are dened as follows and can-
not be changed:
CONTROL I: Adjusting the volume of the installed
MEC module – eliminates the need to adjust the
volume on the external source.
CONTROL II: Adjusting the volume of the subwoof-
er output.
MODE switch: If the RC Switch is set to „Byp” po-
sition, it is possible to toggle between the original
sound system without any DSP processing and the
optimized MATCH sound setup. The DSP sound
setup is deactivated when the switch on the remote
is pressed.
If the RC Switch is set to „Aux” position, the function
of the switch on the remote control will change. In
this case it is possible to manually switch between
the radio signal and the input signal of an option-
ally installed MEC module. The input of the MEC
module is activated when the switch on the remote
is pressed.
