Multi input and output descriptions
This section describes the inputs and outputs available on the Matrox Multi card
and cable.
Inputs
This section describes the inputs that are available on the Multi card and cable.
Matrox Multi card
• SDI 1 to 4 (Multi-Ingest) / SDI 1 and 2 (Multi-I/O) Provide inputs for
use with SDI devices. Each SDI input supports HD/SD video and up to 16
channels of embedded audio. The independent and simultaneous SDI inputs
allow you to capture different video formats at the same time. For example,
you can capture NTSC and PAL video simultaneously using two Multi
inputs. If your Multi card includes SDI outputs (see “Outputs” on page 14),
you can use the SDI inputs and outputs at the same time.
On Matrox Multi-Ingest cards, inputs 2 and 4 are the key channels for inputs
1 and 3 respectively. On Matrox Multi-I/O cards, input 2 is the key channel
for input 1. When your Multi card is installed and your system is running,
