Multi input and output descriptions
Matrox Multi cable
• REF OUT This output provides a loop-through for the external reference
genlock source connected to Multi’s REF IN connector. This allows you to
daisy chain the genlock reference input to another device’s reference input.
To use the REF OUT connector, the genlock loop-through switch on the
Multi card must be enabled (see “Setting the genlock loop-through switch”
on page 5).
¡ Important When genlock loop-through is enabled, if you connect an
external genlock source to Multi’s REF IN connector and you’re not using
the REF OUT connector, you must terminate the reference signal by
connecting a BNC 75Ω terminator to REF OUT.
• OUT 1 to OUT 4 (Multi-I/O and Multi-Playback) Allow you to output
two stereo pairs of unbalanced analog audio for monitoring any audio track
from the Multi SDI outputs (see “Specifying your analog audio output
settings” on page 20). Connect RCA cables to a VTR, audio mixer, speakers,
or other audio device.
¦NoteThe analog audio outputs are not used on Multi-Ingest cards.
