Any replacement electrical components must be suitable for the applica-
on and must correspond to the manufacturer’s speci- caon. Only replace
faulty components with genuine spare parts.
Carry out all component replacements in accordance with guidelines. If nec-
essary, consult Werke technical services.
Perform the following checks:
The refrigerant charge must not be greater than permied for the installa-
on room.
Check the funcon of the venlaon system. The venlaon apertures must
not be blocked or obstructed.
If a hydraulically separated system is used, check the secondary circuit for
the presence of any refrigerant.
Labels and symbols must always be clearly visible and legible. Replace any
illegible informaon.
Refrigerant lines and components must be installed in such a manner that
they do not come into contact with substances that can cause corrosion.

Safety checks must be carried out for maintenance and repair work on elec-
trical components: See below.
In the event of a safety-related fault, do not connect the system unl the
fault has been remedied.
If it is not possible to remove the fault immediately, provide a suitable in-
terim soluon for the system’s operaon if required. Inform the system op-
erator.
Carry out the following safety checks:
Discharge the capacitors: Ensure no sparks are created when discharging.
Do not posion any live electrical components or cables in the immediate
vicinity of the appliance when lling or extracng re- frigerant or when ush-
ing the refrigerant circuit.
Check the earth connecon.

When carrying out work on sealed components, fully isolate the appliance
from the power supply, also before removing sealed covers
If a power supply is absolutely necessary during the work: Posi- on a con-
nuously operang refrigerant detector in the most crical locaons, to pro-
vide warning of any potenally danger- ous situaon.
Pay special aenon to ensuring that any work on electrical components
does not lead to any changes to the enclosures that would aect their pro-
tecve properes. This includes dam- age to leads, too many connecons
on a single terminal, con- necons that do not correspond to the manufac-
turer’s specica- on, damage to seals, as well as incorrect installaon of
cable entries.
Ensure the appliance is correctly installed.
Check that the seals have seled. Ensure by checking that the seals reliably
prevent the ingress of a ammable atmosphere. Replace defecve seals
! Please note
Silicone as a sealant can aect the funcon of leak detec-
on devices.
Do not use silicone as a sealant.
Spare parts must correspond to the manufacturer’s specica- ons.
Work on components which are suitable for ammable atmospheres: It is
not imperave that these components are isolated from the power supply.

Do not connect any connuous capacive or inducve loads to the appli-
ance, unless it has been ensured that the permissible voltages and currents
are not exceeded.
In areas where ammable atmospheres exist, only apply voltage to compo-
nents which are suitable for ammable atmospheres.
Only use original parts or parts approved. Other parts may result in refriger-
ant becoming ignited in the event of a leak.

Wiring
Check whether the wiring is subject to wear, corrosion, tension, vibraon,
sharp edges or other unfavourable environmental in- uences.
When checking, also take into account the eects of ageing and connuous
vibraon on the compressor and fans
