Ensure there is electrical power at the outlet. Another possible cause is a worn brush, which would require you to replace the brushes. Also, a limit switch failure can prevent the motor from starting, so consider replacing the limit switch.

Why does the Maximum Saw blade brake not stop within 10 seconds?

  If the brake on your Maximum Saw blade doesn't stop it within 10 seconds, several factors could be at play. The motor brushes might not be sealed or are lightly sticking, requiring inspection, cleaning, or replacement. An overheated motor brake, caused by using a defective or the wrong size blade or rapid cycling, could also be the cause; use a recommended blade and allow the saw to cool down. A loose arbour bolt can also cause this issue; retighten it. Cracked or damaged brushes can also cause this problem, so they should be replaced.
