Lowering a Vehicle using the CE Safety Release Kit
NOTICE The following procedure is intended for MaxJax Lifts equipped with the CE Safety
Release Kit only.
1. Check under and around the Vehicle to verify the area is clear of all personnel and obstructions.
2. Move the Lift Heads off the Safety Locks by pressing and holding the Up Button on the Power Unit
for a few seconds.
3. Squeeze and hold the CE Safety Release Handle. If the Safety Release Handle will not move, the
Lift Heads are not yet clear of the Safety Locks. Press and hold the Up button on the Power Unit
for a few more seconds, then attempt to squeeze and hold the Safety Lock Release again.
Press and hold the Lowering Handle on the Power Unit while squeezing and holding the Safety
Lock Release.
⚠ WARNING Stay clear of the Lift as it lowers; obey the pinch points warning decals.
4. When the Lift Arms have lowered to the ground, release the CE Safety Release Handle and the
Lowering Handle on the Power Unit.
5. The Lift Arms should have lowered enough to clear the bottom of the Vehicle, rotate the Lift Arms
out from under the Vehicle and towards the MaxJax Frame.
This clears a path for the Vehicle to move out of the Lift area.
6. Carefully drive the Vehicle out of the Lift.
Moving the Lift
The MaxJax is portable, which means you can move it around your work space, if you have installed
additional anchors.
To move the Lift:
1. Make sure the Lift is fully lowered and the Lift Arms have been removed.
⚠ WARNING Do not connect or disconnect the Hoses with the Lift in an elevated position.
2. Press and hold the Lowering Handle for a few seconds to relieve any hydraulic pressure in the
Hydraulic Hoses.
3. Unplug the Power Cord and wrap it around the Portable Stand.
