BEFORE INITIAL USE

The device should be used for
the first time without any food
in it as it may produce some
smoke or odours due to coating
residues. To do this, follow the
instructions in the “Set-Up and
Connection” and “Use” chapters.
1. Wipe down the outside of the device
with a clean, damp cloth. Clean the
frying baskets(5), the grill racks(7)
and the fat collecting trays(6) with
detergent and warm water or in the
dishwasher.
2. Allow the device to heat up on the
highest temperature setting for approx.
10 minutes without any food in it.
3. Then clean it again.
FUNCTIONS
Cooking Zones
The device has two separate cooking
zones(4, 8). The cooking zones can be
operated independently of one another
(function and ).
Alternatively, the cooking zones can be
synchronised so that all temperature and
cooking time settings are identical for
both cooking zones (function ).
In addition, it is possible to use just one
cooking zone (function or ) for
smaller quantities of food.
Programmes
The device has 11 preset programmes
(21) for preparing meals and additional
programmes for defrosting(19) and reheat-
ing(20) and keeping food warm(16).

The times and temperatures
which are set for the programmes
should be adjusted if neces-
sary to ensure that the food (in
particular poultry) is fully cooked.
Adjustments can also be made
during the cooking process.
To select one of the programmes
(19,20,21), turn the dial (14) until the
corresponding symbol flashes. The
Keep warm programme can be selected
by tapping the button (16) (see the
“Functions” chapter – “Keep Warm”).
Once a programme has been selected,
the temperature / cooking time can
be adjusted within 5 seconds (see the
“Functions” chapter – “Adjusting the
Temperature and Cooking Time”).
