How to fix a Maytag AGR5715QD Ranges burner that won't ignite?
    • J
      Jennifer RojasAug 18, 2025
If your Maytag range burner won't ignite and there's no spark when you turn the knob to “LITE”, start by verifying that there's 120 VAC to the range at the wall outlet. Then, check the micro switch contacts. Also, inspect the wiring against the wiring diagram and make sure all connections are correct and tight. If these steps don't resolve the issue, check the spark module according to testing procedures. Finally, clean the electrode or burner cap. If the electrode, electrode wire, or electrode socket is cracked or broken, replace the electrode.

What to do if my Maytag AGR5715QD oven door will not unlock?
    • B
      Bradley CarlsonAug 20, 2025
If the oven door on your Maytag range will not unlock, allow the self-cleaning cycle to complete. If the oven is still hot, the door will not unlock until it has cooled to a safe temperature. Do not force the door open, as this will void the warranty. You can blow cool air on the door latch area to quicken the cooling process.

How to reset the self-clean cycle on a Maytag AGR5715QD?
    • J
      Joann ThomasAug 23, 2025
If the self-clean cycle is not working on your Maytag range, shut off power to the oven for five minutes by switching off the circuit breaker. Then, reset the circuit breaker and try the oven again.

Why won't my Maytag AGR5715QD Ranges burners ignite?
    • G
      George DiazAug 26, 2025
If the burners on your Maytag range won't ignite and there's no spark, start by cleaning the burner cap to ensure a good ground. If that doesn't work, the spark module might be weak or faulty and require replacement. Also, verify that the gas pressure is correct: 4” WCP for natural gas and 10” WCP for LP gas.

What to do if my Maytag AGR5715QD oven is not working?
    • J
      John HammondAug 28, 2025
If your Maytag range's oven isn't working in bake or broil mode, first check for 120 VAC at the control. If there's no voltage, check the power source. If there is voltage to the control, check for 120 VAC to the ignitor; if there's no voltage, replace the control. Also, make sure all wire connections are clean and tight, and replace any broken wires.

What to do if gas flows to my Maytag AGR5715QD burner but it doesn't light?
    • J
      James PenaAug 30, 2025
If gas is flowing to the bake/broil burner but it's not lighting on your Maytag range, reposition the ignitor closer to the burner. Also, clean any dirt or grease from the orifice or burner. Check for correct gas pressure (4" WCP for natural gas and 10" WCP for LP gas). Finally, verify that there isn't a power outage and that the circuit breaker hasn't tripped.

How to troubleshoot spark issues on Maytag AGR5715QD Ranges ignitor?
    • P
      Patrick McdonaldSep 2, 2025
If you have no spark or only a random spark at one ignitor on your Maytag range, replace the ignitor lead or electrode if you find a cracked ignitor or pinched ignitor wire. Then, clean the burner cap and lead to ensure good continuity. Tighten the ground connection and fix any breaks in the ground path from the ignitor to the unit ground. Finally, replace the ignitor lead if it's cracked or broken.

Why is there no gas flow to the burner on my Maytag AGR5715QD Ranges?
    • S
      Suzanne DiazSep 4, 2025
If gas is not flowing to the burner and the ignitor glows red on your Maytag range, check the ignitor current draw (it should be between 3.2 and 3.6 Amps); replace the ignitor if it fails this test. Verify that the gas pressure is correct: natural gas should be at 4" WCP, and LP gas should be at 10" WCP. Check the gas valve for continuity. Also, make sure all wire connections are clean and tight, and replace any broken wires.

Why does my Maytag AGR5715QD keep sparking after turning it off?
    • R
      Rachel DeanSep 7, 2025
If your Maytag range continues to spark after the knob is turned to the OFF position, replace the switch/harness. If excessive spillovers are causing the shorting, consider educating the customer about proper cleaning. Alternatively, the switch may have slipped off the valve; carefully reposition it and rotate from OFF to high several times to ensure it's not broken.

How to fix a Maytag AGR5715QD fan motor that won't operate?
    • R
      Raymond VargasSep 9, 2025
If the fan motor in your Maytag range isn't working, check for 120 VAC supplied at the fan motor. If there's no voltage, check for broken or loose wiring between the fan motor and the relay board. Also, check the motor winding for continuity and check for a frozen motor shaft.
