The following general requirements must be met in all cases:
• Do not use the machine in an improper manner, that is for anything other than the “INTENDEDUSE”
• Protect the machine from theweather
• Always unplug the machine before commencing any maintenance, repair or cleaningwork
• Use original spare parts Do not lubricate movingparts
• Always unplug the machine before commencing any maintenance work on its electrical system orcomponents
WARNING!
Each operator is responsible for their own health and safety, as well as that of any bystanders or other nearby
workers who could be affected by their actions or omissions.
More specifically, workers must:
• Make correct use of the machines, equipment, tools, hazardous substances, means of transport and other work equipment, as
well as of the safetydevices
• Use PPEappropriately.
Moreover, assigned operators must not:
• Remove or modify the safety, warning or monitoring devices withoutauthorisation
• Performoperationsormanoeuvresundertheirowninitiativewhichtheyarenotqualified/authorisedfor,orwhichcouldcompromise
their own safety or that of bystanders
• Work with equipment other than thatindicated
• Modify the machine or itscomponents
• Plug in/unplug the machine with wethands
• Use the power cable or connecting hoses to move themachine
• Use the plug to switch the machine off andon
• Use the machine if the power cable or other important parts are damaged (safety devices, high-pressure hoses, spray gun,
electrical cablesetc.)
• Place objects of any kind on the machine’scasing
• Modify the electrical connections so as to disable the internal safetydevices.
3.3 SAFETYTERMINOLOGY
The areas around the machine are divided as follows:

WORK ZONES
These are the areas where the operator and other workers can command and
control the cyclical functions of the machine.
DANGER ZONES
All areas around the machine and within its range of operation are considered
danger zones.
3.4 SAFETY SYMBOLS IN THEMANUAL
The following symbols are used in the manual to identify possible sources of danger:
SYMBOL
DESCRIPTION
This indicates procedures for which failure to comply - in whole or in part -
with the
instructions provided in the manual can lead to personal injury or damage to the
equipment. It is combined with the terms listed below according to the level ofdanger.
• DANGER = Indicates a high-
risk hazard which, if not avoided, could lead to serious injury or even
death.
• WARNING=Indicatesalow-riskhazardwhich,ifnotavoided,couldleadtominorormoderateinjuries.
IMPORTANT
This symbol is used to indicate:
• Operationsrequiringparticularattentioninordertoavoiddamagetotheequipmentandtheenvironment
• Procedures for which brief yet significant references or clarifications aregiven
This symbol is used next to the description of operations which cause the operator to come into contact
with parts which are normally live. Contact with such parts can lead to instant death.
