Manual Tuning
The default Tuning Mode for the
MA6600 is STATIONS (Manual
Tuning). After having selected the
FM or AM Broadcast Band, rotate
the TUNE (TRIM ADJUST) Con-
trol clockwise or counterclockwise
to find the desirable radio station.
Refer to figure TM2-5. The Remote
Control may also be used for manual
tuning of stations by using the Up
or Down directional Push-buttons.

The Signal Strength Indication
(to the right of “ST”) displayed on
the Front Panel Information Display
can assist in orienting the Antenna
for maximum signal. Refer to figure
TM2-18 (minimum signal strength)
and TM2-19 (maximum signal
strength).
Preset Tuning
The MA6600 allows for presetting 9
AM and 9 FM Radio
Stations into memory
for rapid recall with-
out having to manu-
ally tune through
unwanted stations.
Creating Presets
Tune to a station to be
entered into memory
either by Manual Tuning (STATIONS Tuning Mode) (see
above) or Automatic Tuning (SEEK Tuning Mode) and
then perform the follow steps:
Note: If there are no Presets Assigned and the MA6600
is in the PRESET Tuning Mode, the Front Panel
Information Display will indicate “NO PRESETS
AVAILABLE”. Refer to figure TM2-20.

AM or FM Band Selection
Rotate the MA6600 Front Panel INPUT Control to se-
lect either TUNER FM or TUNER AM. The AM or FM
Push-buttons on the Remote Control may also be used to
select the de-
sired broadcast

and TM2-5 (on
the next page).
Several seconds
after the AM
or FM Band is
selected the Front
Panel Informa-
tion Display will
change to indicate
the frequency the
tuner is currently
tuned to. Refer to
figures TM2-13 and TM2-14.
Stereo/Mono Mode
The MA6600 Tuner Module Automatically switches
between Stereo and Monaural Broadcasts. When a Stereo
Broadcast is received, the Front Panel Information Dis-
play indicates the Stereo Mode by the letters “ST” on the
right side. Refer to figure TM2-15. To change the recep-
tion mode to MONO press the Front Panel MONO Push-
button or the MODE Push-button on the Remote Control
to combine left and
right stereo signals to
a Monophonic signal.
