Why is my Meaco 12L Low energy Dehumidifier blowing out cold air?
    • S
      shelleydiazJul 27, 2025
The Meaco Dehumidifier does not cool the air. The airflow might feel cooler because it's moving, similar to how a fan feels in the summer. The dehumidifier will not reduce the room temperature, as it is not designed to cool the air.

Why is my Meaco 12L Low energy Dehumidifier blowing out warm air?
    • M
      mahoneyaaronAug 1, 2025
It's normal for a dehumidifier to blow out warm air. The dehumidifier process involves passing dried air over heating coils before it's released back into the room. Remember, a dehumidifier is not an air cooler.

What to do if my Meaco 12L Low energy Dehumidifier does not dehumidify?
    • V
      vbushAug 5, 2025
If your Meaco Dehumidifier isn't dehumidifying, several factors could be at play. First, check if the water container is full and empty it if necessary. Ensure the water container is correctly placed. A clogged air filter can also hinder performance, so clean it. Also, the unit will not dehumidify if it is in AP (Air Purification) mode, so change from AP mode to one of the air purification modes. Lastly, very low room temperature or relative humidity can prevent dehumidification, which is normal.

Why is my Meaco 12L Low energy Dehumidifier not reducing humidity enough?
    • J
      jamesshelbyAug 11, 2025
If your Meaco Dehumidifier isn't reducing humidity sufficiently, consider these possibilities: the unit may be undersized for the area, especially in homes larger than a three to five-bedroom house, in that case we recommend using a dehumidifier with a greater capacity. High moisture sources like bathing, washing, drying clothes, cooking, or bottled gas heating can overwhelm the unit; in that case we recommend using a dehumidifier with a greater capacity and consider using a different heat source to a bottled gas heater. Excessive ventilation from open windows and doors can also impact performance, so reduce ventilation. Finally, a blocked air filter restricts airflow, so clean the air filter.

What to do if condensation returned after using Meaco 12L Low energy Dehumidifier?
    • M
      Maria CruzAug 16, 2025
If condensation returns after using your Meaco Dehumidifier, it's likely due to a drop in outside air temperature, making the windows colder. To address this, use the dehumidifier on a lower relative humidity setting and run it continuously, 24 hours a day.

What to do if Meaco 12L Low energy cannot remove condensation from window?
    • M
      Mary GordonAug 21, 2025
If your Meaco Dehumidifier can't remove condensation from your window, even in continuous mode, it's likely because the window's surface temperature is too low. This is common with single-glazed windows, especially when the outside air temperature drops below freezing. Continue running the dehumidifier continuously, 24 hours a day. The condensation should clear as the outside air temperature increases.
