Why is my Meaco 20L Dehumidifier not collecting water?
    • A
      Aaron LiAug 19, 2025
If your Meaco Dehumidifier isn't reducing humidity enough or the water tank isn't filling, consider the following: 1. The unit may be undersized for the space. This dehumidifier is suitable for up to a small three-bedroom house, so consider a higher capacity model. 2. Too much moisture could be generated in the house from sources such as bathing, washing, drying clothes, or cooking. Also, calor gas heating can add excessive moisture. Consider a higher capacity dehumidifier or a different heat source. 3. Excessive ventilation might be the issue. Reduce ventilation by closing windows and doors. 4. A blocked air filter can reduce airflow, impacting performance. Clean the air filter.

    • L
      lawrencesmithAug 21, 2025
If your Meaco Dehumidifier is making excessive noise, the cause may be due to: * A blocked air filter. Clean the filter. * The unit being placed on an uneven surface. Place the dehumidifier on a flat surface. Note that a dehumidifier will be noisier on wooden floors than on carpet.

Why is the light flashing on my Meaco 20L?
    • S
      Steven TorresAug 23, 2025
If a light is flashing on your Meaco Dehumidifier, it indicates that the mode button is disabled, and the unit is running in Laundry mode only. Try unplugging the unit for 5 minutes and then restarting the dehumidifier. If the fault persists, contact Meaco, as you might have a faulty temperature and humidity sensor.

What to do if my Meaco Dehumidifier is not dehumidifying?
    • C
      Cody OwensAug 30, 2025
If your Meaco Dehumidifier isn't dehumidifying, consider these potential causes: * The water container might be full; remove the water. * The water container might not be correctly placed; ensure it's in the right position. * The air filter could be clogged; clean it. * The room's temperature or humidity might be too low; in such conditions, it's normal for the device not to dehumidify effectively.

Why is my Meaco Dehumidifier blowing out warm air?
    • B
      Bailey MarksSep 1, 2025
It's normal for a Meaco Dehumidifier to blow out warm air because the dried air passes over heating coils during the dehumidification process. Remember, a dehumidifier isn't designed to be an air cooler.

Why does condensation keep coming back after using my Meaco Dehumidifier?
    • S
      Steve Cummings MDSep 3, 2025
If condensation has returned to your windows after they were clear, it may be because the outside air temperature has dropped, making the windows colder. To address this, use the Meaco Dehumidifier on Maximum setting and run it continuously for 24 hours a day.

What to do if Meaco 20L cannot remove condensation?
    • R
      Renee SmithSep 5, 2025
If you can't remove condensation from your windows with your Meaco Dehumidifier, even on maximum mode, it's likely because the window surface temperature is too low for the dehumidifier to prevent condensation. This is common with single-glazed windows or when the outside air temperature drops below freezing. Continue running the dehumidifier on Maximum 24 hours a day, and the condensation should clear when the outside air temperature increases.

Why is my Meaco 20L Dehumidifier not removing enough humidity?
    • L
      lisajamesSep 7, 2025
If your Meaco Dehumidifier is not reducing humidity adequately, even with water in the tank, it could be due to several factors: * The room may be too large for the dehumidifier's capacity; consider using a dehumidifier with a greater capacity. * Excessive moisture sources like bathing, cooking, or gas heating might be overloading the unit; consider using a different heat source to a calor gas heater. * Too much ventilation could be the issue; reduce ventilation by closing windows and doors. * A blocked air filter can reduce airflow, impacting performance; clean the air filter.
