Why is my Meaco DD8L Junior not collecting water?
    • C
      Carmen WilliamsAug 18, 2025
If your Meaco Dehumidifier isn't collecting much water or sufficiently reducing humidity, several factors could be at play. The unit might be undersized for the area; it's designed for up to a small five-bedroom house, so a larger space may require a more powerful dehumidifier. Also, too many moisture sources, like bathing, cooking, or using a calor gas heater, can overwhelm the unit. Ensure adequate ventilation by closing windows and doors. A blocked air filter can also reduce performance; clean the air filter to ensure optimal airflow.

What to do if my Meaco DD8L Junior is leaking water?
    • J
      John BrownAug 20, 2025
If your Meaco Dehumidifier is leaking water, make sure the unit is placed on a level surface. An uneven surface can cause leaks. Also, a dirty filter can cause debris to fall inside, leading to leaks, so clean the filter regularly. You can also check the water bucket for cracks by filling it with water and placing it on kitchen paper on the kitchen side.

    • J
      John GoodwinAug 26, 2025

Why is my Meaco DD8L Junior not cycling on and off correctly?
    • R
      Rebecca NguyenAug 27, 2025
If your Meaco Dehumidifier isn't switching off and on in the usual 30-minute pattern, the temperature and relative humidity sensor might be malfunctioning. Try cleaning the filter and blowing the air sensor with a hairdryer on a fast setting to clear any dirt. Then, unplug the dehumidifier for 10 minutes to reset its circuits before turning it back on.

Why is my Meaco DD8L Junior blowing warm air?
    • K
      Katherine CarpenterAug 30, 2025
It's normal for your Meaco Dehumidifier to blow out warm air. The dehumidification process involves passing dried air over a heating element before it's released into the room. Remember that a dehumidifier is not an air cooler.

    • G
      glenn03Sep 2, 2025

    • A
      Andrew HerringSep 4, 2025
If the alarm light on your Meaco Dehumidifier is continuously lit, it indicates restricted airflow or a temperature below freezing. Clean the filter and ensure the unit is more than 30cm from any wall to improve airflow. If the temperature is below freezing, wait until the space warms up before using the dehumidifier again.

Why is there condensation on my windows again with my Meaco DD8L Junior?
    • H
      haynesandrewSep 7, 2025
If condensation has reappeared on your windows after they were clear, it's likely because the outside air temperature has dropped, making the windows colder. To address this, run your Meaco Dehumidifier on Maximum mode continuously, 24 hours a day.

Why can't my Meaco Dehumidifier remove condensation from windows?
    • C
      Casey LeeSep 9, 2025
If you cannot remove condensation from your windows even when your Meaco Dehumidifier is on Maximum mode, it means the surface temperature of the windows is too low, often due to single glazing or freezing outside temperatures. Continue running the dehumidifier on Maximum 24 hours a day; the condensation should clear as the outside air temperature rises.
