Description
DRC-100 is a 96W AC/DC DIN rail type security power supply series. In addition to the primary output, there
is a charger output with a smaller rated current, enabling the backup power supply application the security
access systems require. DRC-100 accepts the universal input between 90VAC and 264VAC, and supplies
13.8VDC and 27.6VDC at output, respectively. With the efficiency up to 89%, it can operate with air convection
cooling under -30 through 70 . In addition to the key protection features such as overload protection, ℃℃
over voltage protection, battery low cut off, and battery reverse polarity protection (by fuse), the alarm
signal for AC OK and battery low signaling is provided, via relay contact output, to facilitate the system design.

Overview

The MEAN WELL DRC-100 series is a 96W AC/DC DIN rail type security power supply with a built-in battery charger (UPS function). This series is designed to provide a primary output along with a charger output, enabling backup power supply applications, particularly for security access systems.

Function Description:

The DRC-100 operates by accepting a universal input voltage ranging from 90VAC to 264VAC. It then supplies a regulated DC output, specifically 13.8VDC for the DRC-100A model and 27.6VDC for the DRC-100B model. In addition to the primary DC output, it features a charger output with a smaller rated current, which is crucial for maintaining a connected backup battery. When AC mains power is available, the unit simultaneously charges the battery and provides power to the load. In the event of an AC mains failure, the connected battery automatically takes over to supply power to the load, ensuring continuous operation (UPS function).
