NOTE:
Do not start the engine without an air lter.
Gear housing
Undo the screw, apply lithium based grease and
turn the axle by hand until grease is forced out.
Replace the screw.

Sharpening the line blade
1. Remove the line blade (A) from the guard (B)
by undoing the screws (C).

2. Put the line blade in a vice and sharpen it
with a at le. Make sure to maintain the
angle of the edge.
3. Ret the line blade on the guard.
Replacing the trimmer line

Contact a service centre
Allow an authorised service centre to check the
clearing saw if any of the following occur:
– The blade strikes an object.
– The engine suddenly stops.
– If the trimmer head is damaged.
– If the gearbox is damaged.
STORAGE
• Clean the clearing saw well after use and
check that it is in good condition and that no
parts are missing or damaged.
• Replace or repair any damaged parts.
Store the clearing saw in a dry place
with the blade guard tted.
• Clean the line spool at the end of the
season, and if necessary replace.
